Video Tour of our host family's house and our living situation

Today we played games again. It was a game that was suppose to teach us colors I guess. The problem is we learned those within the first weeks of German 1, so I am trying to figure out why these classes are intensive German learning classes, I don’t know. We went back inside after playing and we worked a little more on grammar and vocabulary and then did a lot of DDR history.

After lunch we spent the next hour and a half working on what we were going to do with the Halle students who are coming tomorrow. We of course did this in English, our group decided on an English Scavenger hunt in the Tierpark that is in Wittenberg. We made up a sheet with areas for them to write the German name of the animals, we only gave them the English names and little clues, like, for rabbit, “I hop and eat carrots.”

New Words:
Auswahlen = to choose, pick out
Vorbereiten = to prepare
Unterricht = class
Sammeln = to gather collect
industrie kapitan = tycoon

  1. the scavenger hunt was a good idea. It made the students move. I think that that is Frau Schimmelpfennig's goal as well, with her games.
